Mr Dailan Evans
MSpPth, BA(Ling), CPSP
The practice is run by Dailan Evans, a health professional with over 14 years of experience and advanced training in upper and middle airway disorders, including cough, irritable larynx, inducible laryngeal obstruction, voice disorders and swallowing disorders. He has managed The Cough Clinic alongside several Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) surgeons in Melbourne since January 2018, and maintains collaborative relationships with several Respiratory Physicians. Dailan has worked predominantly with adults in private practice, as well as in hospitals and aged care settings. He also has a background as a professional voice over artist and has a particular interest in the human speaking voice.
Dailan holds a Masters degree in Speech Pathology from La Trobe University, as well as a Bachelors degree in Linguistics from the University of Melbourne. He is a certified practising member of Speech Pathology Australia and a member of both the Australian Voice Association and The Laryngology Society of Australasia.
Mrs Liz Wooldridge
BSc (Hons) MSPA, CPSP
Liz is a certified practicing Speech Pathologist with over 11 years experience working with voice, swallowing and middle airway disorders. She commenced her career in Cardiff, Wales in 2008, working across a varied caseload in acute hospital, outpatient and community settings. Since moving to Australia in 2013, Liz has worked predominantly in public health, with the primary focus of providing evidence based, multi-disciplinary care to those with voice, swallowing and middle airway disorders, inclusive of chronic cough, irritable larynx and Inducible Laryngeal Obstruction (ILO). She has worked in close collaboration with Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) Specialists and Respiratory Physicians throughout her career and has a special interest in these areas. In addition, Liz has experience working with people undergoing head and neck cancer surgery and treatment. She has experience in assessment and management of patients prior to, during, and after surgical, radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy treatments.
Liz holds a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours in Speech and Language Therapy from the University of Reading, UK. She is a Certified Practising Member of Speech Pathology Australia and coordinator of the Voice Special Interest Group. She actively attends professional development opportunities in the areas specific to voice and laryngology and is passionate about collaborative and patient centred care.
